Grade 70 Domestic Transport Chain (NACM) Made in America
Peerless Chain produces high-quality Grade 70 Transport Chain, made from heat-treated carbon steel and featuring a distinctive yellow chromate finish. This chain is specifically designed for load securement and is the preferred choice for load binding tasks. It's also highly effective for tie-downs, towing, and logging operations, offering a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to Proof Coil and High Test chains.
We offer Grade 70 Cargo Chain in various sizes: 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8". The chains are available in lengths of 7, 8, 10, 13, and 16 feet. Bulk quantities can be purchased in drums, half drums, and 4 or 5-gallon square pails.
The following chart provides guidance on meeting the current in-service requirements set by FMCSA and DOT for G70 transport chains. It details the minimum number of chain assemblies required to secure a load according to DOT, CVSA, and CCMTA regulations. Grade 70 transport chain adheres to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and NACM specifications.
When calculating the necessary length of domestic Grade 70 transport chain (NACM), consider the cargo's length, weight, and type. The combined working load limits of all tie-downs must equal at least 50% of the cargo's weight. Always follow the SAFETY GUIDELINES section before using these products. Note that Grade 70 chain is NOT suitable for overhead lifting.
Industries that utilize Grade 70 Chain include Agriculture & Forestry, Construction, Bridge Building, Highway and Street Maintenance, Military, and various sectors within Transportation & Utilities, such as Power, Water, Sewer, and Pipe.
