Strong welded curbs prevent flexing and are more durable than bolt-on curbs. The aluminum curbs are smooth and tapered, extending the length of the dockboard. Smooth edges make gripping easy and reduce wear and burring.

Aluminum curbs welded to aluminum plates react as a single unit to a load, unlike steel curbs bolted to aluminum plates which react individually, causing unusual stress at the fasteners. Welded curbs stay securely in place and do not require continual tightening as bolt-on curbing does.

Capacities are based on the heaviest type of equipment used plus the maximum load carried, multiplied by the single axle rating of the total load. Dynamic loading, driver tendencies, speed, and frequency of dockboard use must be considered. If you are using your dockboard frequently over three shifts, we recommend the Steel (TS-series) dockboards.
