Grade 100 Chain, Strong Alloy Lifting Chain, Made in America
The Peerless alloy chain is a durable, versatile, high-strength, low-weight chain manufactured from specially analyzed alloy steel. It undergoes quenching and tempering before proof testing, resulting in an ultimate tensile strength that is more than double that of ordinary steel chains. This tensile strength meets or exceeds all existing OSHA, Government, NACM, and ASTM specification requirements. Large diameter Grade 80 alloy chain is also available upon request in sizes of 1-1/2", 1-3/4", and 2”. Click here to request large diameter Grade 80 alloy chain.
Similar to Grade 80, Grade 100 chain is commonly used for overhead lifting applications due to its excellent energy absorption properties. However, Grade 100 chain offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio among alloy chains. Peerless Grade 100 chain and components comply with the latest guidelines from the National Association of Chain Manufacturers (NACM), as well as ASTM A952/A952M and ASTM A973/A973M standards. For easy identification, Peerless Grade 100 chains are embossed with "USA" and stamped with "P10". Each chain is date coded for traceability, ensuring quality control.
Why Choose Grade 100 Chain Over Grade 80 Chain?
- Grade 100 chain provides, on average, a 25% greater Working Load Limit (WLL) compared to Grade 80 chain.
- Users can achieve more working power (WLL) with a smaller diameter chain, depending on the application.
- Grade 100 reduces wear on the outer link from continuous contact with abrasive materials. Additionally, its increased hardness and durability minimize inner link wear from normal use, extending the chain's lifespan.
- Special chemistry and heat treating processes make Grade 100 the strongest chain option available.
